October, 2020 Kuala Lumpur – IPPTAR has elevated their multipurpose hall ‘Dewan Cendekiawan’ to more refine and pristine sound reinforcement system. The hall has received an oldie but goodie 24-faders Stagetec Aurus Mixer which had served RTM Studio 2 for more than 10 magnificent years. It is an undeniable fact that Stagetec’s audio consoles are known to be the most reliable and relevant mixers over the time. The decision to shift the console to  ‘Dewan Cendekiawan’ is to fulfil the hall requirement as the next venue for a musical event in the future and to replace a faulty and obsolete mixer.

The ‘Aurus’ has also received the newest and latest version of software update, capable for 7.1 surround sound mix.  It  also controls other peripherals equipment such as microphone, signal processors, amplifier and loudspeaker to ensure evenly sounds distribution through the hall. Generally, the console is use as  The front of House or monitoring mix most of the time. Occasionally, it will be used as a learning tool for an audio mixing training. Since the console is flexible and mobile, it is able to move freely depending on the purpose of the usage in the particular day.

The multipurpose hall was also equipped with Stagetec audio distribution networks,  ‘Nexus’ and ‘Nexus Star’ which allow a highly expandable and adaptable way of audio configuration.  The users are able to  control an extreme and complex audio tasks, given that the network configuration has low latency and utmost operation reliability. Other than that, Zenon Media Cart Wall has been installed at the audio control room and it is able to play instantaneously of any type of sound files through Stagetec Aurus console. nexus-star_ipptar
